Today, August 6, 2026, we are officially launching the Ukrainian version of Doberman Media.
We want to say the main thing right away. We are not trying to become a Ukrainian media outlet and will never speak on behalf of the Ukrainian community. We remain the same international LGBT publication that primarily serves Russian-speaking queer people, migrants, and those who were forced to leave their homes.

We also understand another, much more important thing.
After everything that has happened and continues to happen, it is difficult and painful for many Ukrainians to read texts in Russian. And we believe that no one should have to force themselves to do it just to access information.
That is why we decided to create a Ukrainian version Doberman Media.
This is our small contribution to supporting the Ukrainian LGBT community. We want our Ukrainian readers to have the opportunity to read materials in their native language, as far as that is possible today.
On behalf of the entire editorial team, we want to say one more important thing.
We are categorically against this war. We support the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine. We are sincerely pained to see what has been happening for many years already. We cannot change the past, and we cannot change the attitude many Ukrainians have toward the citizens of Belarus and Russia. And we are not asking for that.
We simply want our actions to speak for themselves.
Launching the Ukrainian version of the site is not an attempt to win anyone’s trust or change anyone’s opinion. It is simply a sign of respect for the Ukrainian people and gratitude to the Ukrainians who have all this time stood with us.
Unfortunately, there is very little quality LGBTQ content for gay and queer people today, especially content dedicated to life in exile. We hope the Ukrainian version will help make this information more accessible.
All materials in Ukrainian are translated automatically using artificial intelligence. For translation, we use ChatGPT language models (GPT-5 mini). Despite the high quality, individual words, expressions, or shades of meaning may be translated inaccurately.
We understand that for some people, the very fact of translating materials from Russian may be fundamentally unacceptable. We respect this position. If this is why our project does not suit you, we fully understand your decision not to use the Ukrainian version of the site.
