23-year-old Oleg has been engaged in mixed martial arts since school. His love for sports also resulted in love for himself, in particular for his body, which is also an object of art for him. Today, in parallel with DJing, Oleg works part-time at Onlifans.
He told About the nuances of making money on nude photos and videos (spoiler: it is more difficult for men to break through).
"When you enjoy yourself, you want to share it"
Oleg was born in Minsk. Since the age of 13, he has been doing sports, worked as a waiter, in funeral services, launched a business with a friend - the delivery of healthy food.
After 2020, the guy was forced to move to Ukraine, and with the beginning of a full-scale war, he spends most of his time in Berlin.
"As much as I like Berlin, as a young man I need to build a career. And there are modeling and music industries in the city. Plus, there is a fairly large Russian-speaking and Ukrainian-speaking community, which simplifies many things."
Oleg left Minsk, among other things, in search of new professional peaks.
"Sometimes I miss Minsk, I would like to see my loved ones, but this is for two or three days, and then what to do there? I think I'd go crazy there. Although the key role for emigration, of course, was played by the fact that you do not feel safe in Belarus. My friends and acquaintances still have their doors kicked down, detained for once liking or leaving a comment somewhere, or being on the street.
At what point I could have been taken like this remains a mystery. But living in a country with such a regime is definitely not very good," the guy shares.
Oleg says that his path of making money on his own photos began with self-love.
"When you constantly enjoy yourself, when you love yourself and sincerely repeat to yourself that you are beautiful, you end up wanting to share it. Not only when meeting friends in person or, for example, in a club where strangers are looking at you, but also on social networks.
At first, I started an Instagram: you post a beautiful photo and thus bring joy to people, and in return you receive compliments. There is such an exchange of positive emotions."
"Private is overcrowded - hundreds of messages"
Soon the guy realized that he could not cope with the number of audiences and requests for communication.
"My private page is full of hundreds of messages that I can't make out. And I won't be able to do that, otherwise I'll have to be online 24 hours a day, and why?"
Oleg decided to monetize interest in his person.
"My friends told me about Onlyfans. It became interesting to stew in this topic. Plus, the rules of Instagram do not allow you to post the same nudes, erotic photos, and there you are welcome. Gradually, the business grew into a business. This, in fact, is a business where you can earn an unlimited amount of money. But only if you invest and invest every day.
There is a stereotype that it is enough to undress and take a picture, and you will immediately be paid for it. This is not true. Try to advertise yourself so that people come to you, you need to constantly develop external platforms."
"Most of the money today comes from other platforms"
Oleg says that the number of fans, like everyone else, varies.
"For example, now I have 150 subscribers, but tomorrow there may be 130, because someone's annual subscription is expiring, and he may not renew it. So far, I am not talking about the quantity, but about the quality of the audience. But all people are different: someone will log in to the account and send $100-200 for one "greeting". And somewhere I sell a whole video for five minutes for 20-30 dollars."
Oleg's biggest monthly earnings from the platform were about 2500 euros.
"But my main money today does not come from Onlyfans. I can earn money from Twitter, Telegram, and even my Instagram. I can sell the same content on other platforms and immediately receive money on the card," the source explains.
С «Онлифанс», конечно, тоже есть еще куда расти. Для этого парень подумывает обратиться за услугами специального агентства, хотя им придется отдавать до 50% заработанного.
"Now I am alone, and it is very difficult to do everything on my own. You have to make time for each of your fans, and they all live in different time zones. You need to find out how they are doing, always offer new content. And if you work with an agency, it's easier, you just need to come up with and send content."
Oleg says that it is easier for girls to make money on the platform than for guys. The reason is simple: there are more heterosexual male users. But he is not afraid of difficulties, because he does what he really likes.
"I would never do something that I don't like. It's not about sacrificing for money."
"A friend once managed to make 30 thousand euros in a month"
Another option to promote yourself faster on the platform is to constantly collaborate with more media models.
"I have a friend in Berlin who is a actor, he says that he works alone, and he somehow managed to make 30 thousand euros in a month. But he was constantly collaborating.
Of course, if you post content with a new star guy or girl every week, you will shoot faster. But I don't want to work like this, because then it will turn into a routine. Changing partners several times a week to make a video, insincere sex in such a volume is not for me. People make money for cars and houses, but I'm not interested in going into the industry (at least not yet)."
To look attractive in photos and videos, Oleg has to constantly monitor himself.
"I am a very self-critical person, thanks to this, among other things, I have such an appearance: I am always engaged in some kind of self-improvement. I keep discipline in this: if you let yourself go somewhere, walk for a long time, then that's it, we don't walk anymore, only the gym."
Oleg goes to the gym 3-5 times a week, tries not to eat fast food, does home care procedures (for example, face masks) and goes to the beautician once every six months for cleaning.
At one time, Oleg made a splash by starring in the reality show of transgender beauty blogger Milana Petrova. After that, the couple dated for some time, and this caused a great resonance, including in the Belarusian state media. Plus, for some of Oleg's relatives and acquaintances, his bisexuality was a discovery: they learned about this from the show itself.
"My father reacted normally. As for my mother, I just told her then – this is how it happens, imagine. We do not touch on this topic anymore. Especially now, when we rarely call each other. I can't even talk to them openly about DJing. They will not understand this, because they live in their own world. Therefore, in conversations with them, I try to go back in time and communicate with them in the language of that 13-year-old me. There was also hatred on the part of some people, but in my understanding, it is not people with non-traditional orientation who suffer more, but those who seem to be traditional, but they are worried that someone else has free love.
In post-Soviet society, in principle, if you stand out, you can be "eaten". Living in such a society, it is easy not to love yourself. In this regard, I like Berlin: here no one cares about you, how you look..."
Oleg says that after the start of the war in Ukraine, where he himself lived, he forgot how to make long-term plans. But he still plans to make a name for himself in modeling and music.
"I want to become a successful DJ first of all for myself. Plus to develop as a model, to act somewhere (in Kyiv, for example, I managed to take part in the series "Pechersk Dogs"). I want to make a name for myself so that I can build a business on its basis."
