For nearly two years, we’ve been building Doberman as a space of freedom—uncensored, independent of our grant providers, and unafraid to call a spade a spade. We’ve created not just a media outlet, but an entire ecosystem. We’ve created not just a lifestyle magazine, but a safe digital ecosystem for the queer community. We launched a unique Telegram app, built our own search engine, and wrote hundreds of articles about topics that, in today’s world, are either too scary or forbidden to discuss.
All this time, we have deliberately remained independent. We have no major investors, government contracts, or huge Western grants. Doberman is a project built from the ground up, driven solely by the team's enthusiasm and personal resources.
Why are we writing about this today?
Independence comes at a price. Technical support for the website, protecting user data, paying for servers, and compensating our writers—who often write from unsafe regions—require ongoing investment. Yet we believe that the right to information, safety, and representation are basic needs, not luxuries.
How can you help?
We created a page on the platform Buy Me a Coffee. This is the simplest and most transparent way to support our work.
- One-time donation: "Treat" a cup of coffee for the editorial team. This will help us pay our current hosting bills.
- Monthly subscription: This is the foundation of our stability. Even 5 EUR a month allows us to plan for the future and develop new IT solutions.
Important Safety Warning: We care about your safety. Please use only foreign bank cards for donations. Payments made with Russian or Belarusian cards through foreign services may not be secure.
Where will the money go?
All funds raised are sent to:
- Infrastructure: Payment for servers and domains that provide access to the website.
- Security: Protecting the website from attacks and ensuring the anonymity of our readers.
- Content: Support for the authors and editors who create content for you every day.
Doberman isn't just us. It's you. And today, the future of our media is literally in your hands.
