The Parliament of Belarus, as a reported On April 2, the state-run Belta news agency passed a law on administrative liability "for propaganda of homosexual relations, gender reassignment, childlessness, and pedophilia." Such changes were made to the law "On Amendments to Codes on Administrative Responsibility".
How to clarifies Belsat, in the law, this is defined as "the dissemination of information in any form in order to form citizens' ideas about the attractiveness of homosexual relations, gender reassignment, childlessness or the recognition of pedophilia as acceptable."
Administrative fines are provided for these offenses:
- for individuals - up to 20 basic units (up to 900 Belarusian rubles, this is about 24 thousand Russian rubles),
- for individual entrepreneurs - up to 100 units (up to 4500 Belarusian rubles, which is about 120 thousand Russian rubles),
- for legal entities - up to 150 units (up to 6750 Belarusian rubles, which is about 180 thousand Russian rubles).

The law provides that if such information is available to minors, then community service or administrative arrest is possible as a punishment.
In Russia, the propaganda of LGBTQ+, childfree and transgender transition is also prohibited. For this, administrative fines are provided, and in some cases administrative arrest.
