Anton Krasovsky is one of the most controversial figures in the modern Russian media sphere. A former liberal, openly gay and ex-director of RT broadcasting, he went from the headquarters of Ksenia Sobchak to calls to "drown Ukrainian children", for which he was suspended from work. In a long interview, he tries to explain his current "imperial" position, admits his deep loneliness and discusses why he has become a "stranger among his own people" to all political camps.
Eight years after the breakup, Ksenia Sobchak met with Anton Krasovsky. In a conversation that began in a paddy wagon and continued in his rented apartment, Krasovsky calls himself a "little man" against the backdrop of vast Russia, explains his scandalous statements with "courage" and admits that he is afraid of dying in oblivion more than anything in the world.
During the interview, the topic of LGBT people was raised in the context of their social isolation and ethical norms in the media:
About the "rosy" rumors: To Sobchak's remark that his life is full of rumors (including those who "sniff" or belong to the community), Krasovsky replied that all this is just An attempt to make up for the lack of love, which he acutely feels.
On non-recognition by the community: Ksenia Sobchak noted that Krasovsky is not considered "one of their own" by representatives of the "banned LGBT community." Krasovsky agreed that he "A stranger among friends and a stranger among strangers", explaining this by the fact that he does not choose a side (liberals or conservatives), but adheres to his own position.
About the "outing" of Maxim Galkin: When it came to the fact that Margarita Simonyan on the air of the federal channel made an outing of Maxim Galkin (calling him a gay man who married "to divert his eyes"), Krasovsky said that does not remember this story well and does not know the details.
Attitude to the practice of outing: Despite his good personal relations with Simonyan, Krasovsky directly expressed his position: "I believe that outing in any case... I treat Margarita well, but I think that outing is ugly".
Editorial position Doberman Media
The editors of Doberman Media consider it necessary to emphasize that the publication of this interview is not an act of support for Anton Krasovsky. We We categorically condemn his activities and statements of recent years.
In our opinion, Anton Krasovsky is a person who betrayed journalism. From a professional media manager and journalist who once worked in liberal offices and independent publications, he turned into a mouthpiece for aggressive propaganda. His public arguments that Ukrainian children should be "drowned in the river" became a point of no return, after which he was suspended from the air even by his current employers. Krasovsky himself admits that he "fucked up in the war" and often behaves like an "asshole", trying to justify cruelty with "courage".
We also believe that Krasovsky betrayed his own ideas. A man who once fought for rights and freedoms, today calls himself a "servant" of the empire and declares his readiness to be "any material" to achieve goals that bring death and destruction.
Despite his open orientation, Krasovsky became the enemy of the LGBT community. He was in solidarity with the system that persecutes people on the basis of their identity, for which he naturally ceased to be considered "one of us" for those whose interests he once represented. His stance on peer outing and support for a repressive agenda make him a figure deeply hostile to the values of equality and human dignity.
This video is published by us solely as Document of the era is evidence of the deep moral and professional degradation of a person who preferred imperial ambitions and "courage" to professional ethics and humanity.
