Queer-owned Coffee Project New York café inside the historic LGBT Community Center in the West Village; open since January 17, 2023. A sober daytime meeting place with good coffee and a relaxed atmosphere, where you can work or simply hang out. The building also houses a library and art collection and regularly hosts community events, support groups, and meetings; a former 19th-century school, it was designated a city landmark in 2019. A good choice for daytime dates and anyone who would rather not go to a bar. Nearest subway stations: A/C/E and L — 14 St–8 Av; 1/2/3 — 14 St.
