A legendary men's leather and fetish bar in Chelsea (between 10th and 11th Avenues)—one of New York City's last authentic leather bars. The name dates back to a bar founded in 1970, while the current venue on W 28th St has operated since 2001 in a former 19th-century stable. Two dark floors with bars, a pool table, and a DJ dance floor; in warmer months, the rooftop opens with its own bar. Known for its cruisy atmosphere, it also has a dark room. Theme nights include Monday SINday (free admission), Twisted Tuesday, Jockstrap Wednesday, Sunday Beer Blast (from 17:00, no cover until 21:00), and Cigar Social on the rooftop. A dress code (leather, rubber, denim, uniforms) applies on fetish nights and weekends. The annual Mr. Eagle NYC contest is held here. It's best to bring cash.
