This October, the first voyage will set sail RU5H — a new cruise project created especially for gay, bisexual, and pansexual men. The organizers say their goal is to make this kind of vacation accessible and to break the stereotype that gay cruises are only for the wealthy.

What kind of cruise is this?
The trip will take place from 2 to 5 October. The liner will depart for the Bahamas. Co-founder of the project Patrick Gunn told the publication in an interview Out explained that RU5H was conceived not just as another cruise, but as a space for “freedom, adventure, and self-expression.” In his words, it is one of the boldest new LGBTQ+ projects in the world.
Will it just be parties there?
The organizers promise a packed entertainment program, but emphasize that music is only part of the experience.
- Parties: Eight major events are planned, featuring DJs from New York, London, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Los Angeles.
- Atmosphere: The main focus is on building connections between people in an environment where no one is judged.
- Leisure: On board, there will be pools, restaurants, and relaxation areas, and during port stops — excursions in the Bahamas. Participation in the main program is optional.

Ticket prices start at US$397 per person. To minimize costs, solo travelers can find a cabin mate in a special private Facebook group.
